Happy Grandparents Day!

Happy Grandparents Day!

Grandparents Day
What exactly do people do on Grandparents Day?
Many people honor their grandparents through a range of activities.
Such as gift-giving, card-giving, and for children to invite their grandparents to school for a day.

Where they participate in special lessons or special assembly programs.

Doesn’t that sound fun and nice? (grandson grandparent bonding time!)

Many school students take part in story-telling activities that relate to their grandparents.

As well as art or poster competitions where children often use a story about their grandparents in their artwork.

Wow, come to think of it. I have my own story as well with my grandmother, Elizabeth.

She was one of the first people to bring crystals into my life.

When I was around 7 years old, I remember her introducing me to crystals.

“See Jenny, this is an amethyst crystal. It dispels anger, rage, fear and anxiety.

So whenever you feel hurt, hold it and allow it to absorb all your negative energy.”

And I would listen to her explaining to me every single crystal in her collection.

Where they came from.

What I could use them for.

How to take care of them.

I was in awe.

She was my crystal guardian angel.

I will forever miss you Grandma…

I am sure you are in a better place now with your crystals.

Grandparent

Which brings me to my next point.

Did you know that about four million greeting cards are sent within the United States each year on Grandparents Day?

This day is also an opportunity for people to appreciate and express their love to their grandparents through kind actions.

Such as making a phone call or inviting their grandparents for dinner.

People living in retirement villages or nursing homes may receive a visit from their grandchildren or loved ones on this day.

Take this time to appreciate your grandparents. (Please)

Because you would not be where you are today if not for them bringing your parents to this world.

And your parents bringing you into this world.

Sometimes, I understand we get so caught up with our busy lives.

That we forget what is important to us.

And by the time we remember, it may be too late…

So spend time with your grandparents.

They will love you for that.

And if you are a grandparent, congratulations!

You should be proud of your achievements.

Being a grandparent is not easy at all…

Raising your children and grandchildren…

Being the wisest person in the family…

Making all the big decisions for the entire family…

Sure is tiring.

But the entire family looks up to you as a loving figure.

And a figure of wisdom.

Because you have accumulated so much valuable knowledge.

And have gone through all the important world-changing events in your lives.

That your children and grandchildren may not understand.

Like World War II, 9-11 Attack, etc

So share with them your experience.

Give them insight on something they will not get to experience.

So that they will also know what to do in the future.

When you will not be here anymore to protect them and guide them.

People always say aging is bad.

But I like to compare aging to wine.

As you get older, you become more valuable.

More wise.

More experience.

So be proud of your age!

Time for me to bring my children to my parents’ house.

So, I can thank them for raising me and my children as well.

Jenny
